Kia Optima fuel economy is impressive

Wed Mar 29, 2017 8:34 am

Seattle Times have shared their opinion on the fuel economy of Kia Optima PHEV. While this is spectacular, can anyone in Kia Optima forum help me to find a more recent update on that topic?

The starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price, including destination charge, for a base, 2016 Optima LX 2.4 is just $22,900 with a 185-horsepower, non-turbo, direct injection four-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic transmission.

The optimum pH Evie has some nice features to make it so efficient it can travel at 75 miles per hour before firing up the gas engine and 27 miles is solid for a PhD if you take the Chevy Volt 53 MPG out of the picture

It is impressive as long as we take the Chevy bolt out of the picture that comes in at 53 MPGs but typically these type of vehicles do not get that range so yes I agree the Optima has good impressive mileage

The Optima is a solid sedan but for some reason because it is not spectacular it isn't getting a lot of press time. It impresses me but there sure is not a lot of talk about it which is too bad.
